COVID-19 UPDATES

Guidelines for COVID-19 | Summer 2020 

  • 15 Player Maximum Allowed in Training Facility based up Governor McMaster’s ration of 5 ppl/1000 sq. ft. However, each group will have no more than 10 student-athletes per session.

  • The Mindbody App will be used to ensure all safety precautions are in effect in relation to capacity

  • At this time, no parents will be allowed inside, until updated guidelines are released

  • It is encouraged that each student-athlete brings their own basketball, so we are limiting the

    shared use of equipment. Ensure that you put your name on your ball, of course to keep up

    with it. We will supply balls if needed and clean thoroughly after use.

  • BRING YOUR OWN WATER!! It is advised that we discontinue the use of the shared water

    stations at this time. If you do not have any, drinks can be purchased on site.

  • Social Distancing is still encouraged

    • No handshakes, high fives, or fist bumps at anytime

    • Athletes are strongly recommended to travel to the venue alone or only with members of their immediate household, if possible.

    • Face coverings are strongly recommended for individuals traveling to and from the venue and whenever not participating in workouts

  •  Everyone is encouraged to practice good hygiene and follow CDC Guidelines

    •  It is HOT! And we are going to be working! Bring shirts to change into and additional socks, etc. to even change into as you rotate between your lift and court time or where necessary for your personal needs.

  •  Chewing Gum is not permitted at this time.

  • Wash hands upon entry and before you exit. At the very least, use the hand sanitizers posted within the premises.

  • Conduct Daily Symptom Assessments (Self-Evaluation) before coming to training

  • Do not attend if you are feeling ill. If you plan to travel for whatever reason, a 14-day quarantine will be required before you return to training.

  • Anyone with known exposure to COVID-19 or who has tested positive for COVID-19 should do the following before returning to the facility:

    •  Inform supervisor of the facility of your symptoms.

    • Contact your health care provider immediately and get screened to be tested for COVID-19. Keep track of your symptoms.

  •  Self-isolate at home. When you are without fever for at least 72 hours without the use of medication & all other symptoms have improved and at least 10 days have passed since your symptoms first appeared, then seek testing for a negative result from a COVID-19 test or a written statement of good health from a doctor.

  • If positive, complete the isolation steps above and  be re-tested before returning to facility.

 For training, each athlete shall bring the the following items: 

  1. Personal Basketball (with your initials on it) 

  2. Yoga Mat - to establish a personal area during Krystal's segment of the workout. Easier to use and clean between workouts and much safer than sharing mats with the entire group (even if it is cleaned thoroughly) as we complete various exercises on the floor. 

  3. Jump Rope - Can be found for less than $5 at Wal-Mart

  4. Large Water Bottle (filled) - It has been advised all shared water stations be closed for now, therefore you won't be able to refill your typical 16oz bottle or small cups. Please prepare for this in advance, as hydration is extremely important. Drinks will be available for purchase if need be. 

  5. Towel - to clean off between exercises and rotating stations. It is HOT! 

  6. Change of Clothes (as needed): You know your athletes, and they know their bodies. Please come prepared with whatever YOU need specifically. Be extra socks, underwear, shirts, shorts, you name it. it is simply not safe or sanitary to "sit" in too much sweat. We will be working out longer/harder being that we are currently in the off-season. Be prepared for this. 

  7. Running Shoes - we do a lot of cardio outdoors during the summer, for those who need to run in a different pair of shoes, consider being prepared to limit potential injuries or ailments. Again this is only if it pertains to your individual athlete. 

Items #1-3 will be provided for you if you do not have it. Simply let us know upon arrival what you need.
