ISP: STUDENT OF THE GAME

All-Star Event Recap

Free Community Meet & Greet

Saturday, February 10, 2018
4:00 - 6:00 P.M.

WNBA Players, Courtney Williams of the Connecticut Sun (WNBA Draft 2016, 8TH Pick) and Jewell Loyd of the Seattle Strom (WNBA Draft 2015, 1st Pick) took time out of their busy USA Basketball Training Camp Schedules to come out to ISP and give back through our FREE Community Meet & Greet.  The event was hosted by Columbia's very own Brionna Dickerson (USC Gamecocks '09). We covered numerous questions spanning the journey to the league, their careers thus far, and the business of sport. After the event the audience had an opportunity to ask additional questions, take pictures and get autographs.   We even had a few special guests drop in and share their knowledge as well, including: Alaina Coates of the Chicago Sky (WNBA Draft 2017, 2ND Pick), Tina Roy (USC Gamecocks '16), Keturrah Jackson (Duke Blue Devils '10), and Loren Thomas of WLTX (Kent State T&F '12).  The event was amazing and we are truly grateful for their time. We also are extremely appreciative of the parents that took the time to expose their children to this information. #GREATNESSISGREATNESS

Testimonials:

"Information the players shared were very informative. I think many people in the room had something they could have taken away from the interview! Whether it was related to basketball or everyday life!"

- Harriet Watkins, Mother of Ashlyn Watkins, Cardinal Newman School (2022)

"Iconic Sport Performance put on a phenomenal event. They incorporated the core values they teach our girls through the training program at ISP and matched it with a goal and vision. As a mom, this is the kind of atmosphere I can trust to cultivate my daughters greatness."

- Tasha Waston, Mother of  A'Laya Scott , Westwood High School (2021)

"I thought it was very down to earth. I felt like i could be myself, and give realistic responses."

- Courtney Williams, of the Connecticut Sun (WNBA Draft 2016, 8TH Pick)
